Sen. Jake LaTurner will replace Ron Estes as the Kansas State Treasurer. Gov. Sam Brownback announced the appointment this morning in a brief press conference.
“Jake is a man of character, principle, and integrity, reflecting the values of our great state,” Brownback said.
Republican precinct men and women in Cherokee, Crawford, and southern Bourbon counties will select LaTurner’s replacement, perhaps as soon as April 29, according to a tweet sent from the Kansas GOP.
