Retired Deputy Sheriff John Resman was selected to fill the 121st House District seat left open with the retirement for health reasons of Rep. Mike Kiegerl, R-Olathe, who stepped down after thirteen years of service.
Resman had Kiegerl’s support. The precinct committeemen and women elected him by a 16-3 margin over Tony Wise.
First, and foremost, I want to thank Representative Mike Kiegerl for having the confidence in me to follow in his footsteps in the Kansas House of Representatives,” said Resman. “Having spent time with Mike over the past few months, I know that the House will miss his wit and wisdom.”
