Trump’s “unpopularity” in the Star’s newsroom is one reason for his landslide victories in Missouri and Kansas.

Two weeks into Donald Trump’s presidency, the Kansas City Star is baiting its left-leaning readership with an aspirational article on the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

“Across the world, online gambling websites are offering increasingly attractive odds that Trump will either be impeached or resign before his first term as president ends in 2020,” writes Greg Hadley of McClatchy, the Star’s parent company.

Bookmakers are no fools. They know a sucker when they see one. Deep into the article, Hadley almost admits as much. “Given Trump’s unpopularity and the intensity with which many seem to dislike him,”he writes, “bookmakers may simply be trying to entice the public into taking a chance on a possibility that at the moment seems remote, given the Republican Party’s control of both chambers of Congress.”
