Monetti Doubles Down in MO Senate Race, Has Sarah Palin Come to KC For Rally

Not one to be easily deterred by the odds, Missouri U.S. Senate candidate Tony Monetti is going all in by staging a rally at the Power & Light District on Wednesday, June 27, featuring former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

To face Claire McCaskill in November, Monetti must first prevail against Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley and some lesser candidates in August. The establishment favorite, Hawley has already secured the endorsement of President Donald Trump.

Despite the lack of a Trump endorsement, Monetti has been running a Trump-friendly campaign. “I am running on a Missouri First and America Always platform,” says Monetti’s campaign material. “Help me drain the swamp in Washington, D.C.” He is confident he will get Trump’s endorsement should he prevail in August.

In addition to several high ranking military officers, Monetti has been endorsed by Sarah Palin and former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka who has already come to the Kansas City area to speak on Monetti’s behalf.

A Brooklyn native and a former B-2 pilot, retired Lt. Col. Monetti has been stumping the state relentlessly since first declaring for the Senate seat last summer. He knows he has his work cut out for him.

Monetti caught a break when Hawley found himself between the proverbial rock and a hard place in l’affaire Greitens. No matter what Hawley did, he was sure to alienate either Greitens’ supporters or his antagonists, if not both.

There is an element of gamble involved in inviting Palin to Kansas City’s most visible meeting space, the so-called “Kansas City Live” in the heart of the Downtown Power & Light District. The public part of the event begins at 7 p.m. Rally tickets are free and can be secured in advance through Monetti’s web site.

A high percentage of those candidates Palin has endorsed have prevailed in their primaries. Monetti is betting Palin’s magic will shine through once more.
