The “Living the American Dream” series focuses on those leaders who embody faith, family, and the promise of America. Its inaugural event in 2024 featured Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears.
We asked Michael Austin, Chief Executive of the Kansas Black Republicans, about the significance of Dr. King headlining this year’s Kansas City event:
“We take great pride in welcoming Dr. Alveda King to the Heartland. Her story is one of faith, and of family, but most importantly, of hard-won liberty. It’s a story that all men and women, regardless of politics, should hear because it speaks to the American Dream.”
